about

From Ah-Mer-Ah-Su, about the song:
I wrote this song in 2020 about the feelings i was trying process during the Black Lives Matter movement, dreaming about freedom, questioning why i am here earth.

the chorus repeats

“i turn to you, when i feel blue and no matter what they say i know we’ll be ok.”
“Fly, i’ll fly, gonna take me high”

the you is perhaps my idea of God, something bigger than myself, and no matter how much detritus is sent our way, those who believe in freedom will persevere.
